I'm about halfway through At First Sight, by Nicholas Sparks so that review should be coming up soon. But for now, I saw this movie last night with some friends and wanted to share my thoughts with you.

Review: This movie was SO cute. Unbelievably adorable and hilarious. Star-studded and following such a complete blockbuster, this was such a hit. And don't you think it helps to see a film like this in a theater full of laughing 6 year olds? The plot was so light-hearted and still showed some messages. Some were finding your individuality, creativity, and courage. These were displayed in the sneakiest way possible, but still hit you hard. Dreamworks can not go wrong (:
Still, the movie had its faults. Throughout the movie, there were some adult themes. A few times there were hints of homosexuality and raciness. There is a pool scene between two hippos that made my skin crawl. We are showing this to kids? But, it was perfectly innocent from the kid's point of view I'm sure. But to me, a teenager, yikes.
Overall I would recommend this to anyone who just wants to laugh. ages 4 to 400.
And I leave you with this question:
Do you recognize the adult themes hidden in children's films? Do you think they are snuck in for the parent's pleasure? Maybe to make the movies more enjoyable for everyone?

Oh, yes, I think they do it just for laughs. Like in "Horton Hears a Who" at the beginning where they have happy music playing and the mayor's in a bubble and the judge is like pointing at a donkey's butt and then at the mayor, its all for laughs, the kids have no idea what's going on, they think it just looks funnny. and yes, I think it is very awkward, especially when you are watching it with ur mom, w/ friends its not that bad.
