Tropic Thunder

Title: Tropic Thunder
Rating: R
Stars: Robert Downey Jr., Jack Black, Ben Stiller

Summary (from official website): Ben Stiller, Jack Black, and Robert Downey Jr. lead an all-star cast in the outrageous comedy Tropic Thunder. When three of Hollywood's biggest stars head into the jungles of Vietnam to shoot a war movie, they have no idea how real things can get.

Review: I was kind of watching and kind of not watching this movie, so I was a little bit confused. I think the concept is awesome. Youve got a movie about a movie that really isnt a movie and a white man playing a white man playing a black man. Youve just got to love that.

I think Ben Stiller was the star of this movie. Everyone says that Robert Downey Jr was the best, but seriously, Ben Stiller stole the show. His dialogue was hilarious and he portrayed "Tug Speedman" perfectly. I love him (: And he directed, produced, and wrote the movie.

But still, Robert Downey Jr wasn't bad at all! At times his character was soo racist that it was just funny. On that note, this movie is OFFENSIVE. The language is so bad. I think I probably learned some new cuss words from this. Hhah, so yeah. Don't let your 8 year old watch this.

I think Mattew McCaughnehey (yeah I know the spelling is wrong, but seriously, does anyone actually know how to spell it?) was in this, as Ben Stiller's agent, but I have no clue. It kind of looked like him and sounded like him, but correct me if I'm wrong.

And as a fake war movie, the effects were awesomeeeeee. Like, holy crap. The explosions were so freaking cool, it could have been Saving Private Ryan or something (which is like my fave war movie of ALL time!).

But I was very confused if they actually made the movie or not? The end funny but confusing..

If you don't know who he is, he is from Saturday Night Live, which is basically my favorite thing. So this was a special treat for me (:

ps. Tom Cruise is in this too? I was just watching the credits and it says he is like one of the bigger startes

I will try to help; let's see if I have a chance...

Do you really insist calling this a 'review'? I did learned nothing about the movie or the quality of the movie.

'Awesome' this and 'awesome' that does not qualify for an informed discussion. Judging actors without explaining what you base your judgement on, is not helpful neither.

You read books? You 'review' books like this? Would you like to read something like that, if someone else would have written it?

Last point: is it so hard to google Matthew McConaughey's name? Of course it was not. So the whole purpose was to mock him publicly for cheap laughs.

You really call this a 'review'?

I call this - thoughtless chatter of a very, very young girl.

Maybe you could try harder next time? Don't just state your feelings, dear, rather express your thoughts in a meaningful, comprehensible way.

Thank you. :)

I thought your review was great! It wasn't 'professional' like that Alex Buckybit or whatever wanted it to be. I like how it wasn't professional though. I had a better time reading it. Professional reviews are just boring! Maybe they're good for the more mature of people, but I don't come on here to be mature! I come on here to have fun and when I was reading your review I felt like I was reading what a friend sent me in an e-mail about a movie she/he just recently saw.

Anyway, I like your review and good job! :)

I think Alex'BuckyBit' Covic was a bit harsh (and may need a hobby that takes him away from his computer for awhile). Personally, I think you are an amazing writer-especially for a "very, very young girl". In fact, I was so drawn to your words, that I read one entry after another until I had read every one of your blogs. So, keep writing! I know I'll keep reading. That's for sure!

Woo. Man Alex whatever is quite mean. I wouldn't want him coming on to my blog. I haven't seen this yet but I've heard its really funny. I love Ben Stiller. He always plays funny characters well no matter what it is. I thought your review was good so igore that mean guy.
